To grow Oregano indoors first, you will need the seeds of Oregano as it is available in most plant or garden centers.

If the seeds are too early you can also buy the young plants ready to be sifted in your room pot. It can also be brought through different plant shops and garden centers as seeds.

Planting the seeds or Young Plants

After you choose the seeds or the young plant there are two different ways:

If you get seed you need to dig a hole in the soil of the pot or modular trays filled with seeds where you want the Oregano herbs to plant. The best season to plant the seed indoors is spring. 

You don’t have to cover the seeds with soil and keep it in the temperature between 12 to 17 degrees Celsius or 60 degrees Fahrenheit. After a couple of weeks, you can be able to see the seeds growing plants.

For the Young plants, all you have to do is get the pot and plant the Oregano plant in the pot and take care of it.

After the seeds grow to young plants and if you directly get the young plant all you have left is to take care of them.

The Oregano pants need bright sunlight so it will be perfect to keep them on the south exposure window. If you can’t keep it in sunlight you can also use artificial light. The Oregano must be placed in light for six to eight hours a day to survive.

But if you are using artificial light you have to keep the Oregano plant five to six inches farm from the light but not farther them fifteen inches. They need their soil dry to survive but if you overwater them the plant will die.

You can also use fertilizer in the oregano plant twice a week with a diluted water-soluble food.

After the herbs grow perfectly you can snip off the leaves of the plant and it will be ready to be used to make the off delicious and even keep you healthy.

Then you have to shift them in your garden herbs space and plant them there. As they need a lot of sun don’t plant them in the shade or the low light place. You can place it in a place where the plant will get a minimum of five to six hours of light with well-drained soil.

You can also plant the oregano 20 to 30 centimeters away from the neighbor plants. For a month you will have to water it yourself but after the plant is well established you don’t have to worry about watering them.

Just don’t water them too much while they are small as they can die cause of overwater.
