The plant commonly referred to as palm bears fruits that are in groups of small, narrow, cylindrical fruits called dates. The dates can be eaten fresh, dried, or even preserved, there are more than 200 types of dates and their color varies from bright red to golden amber depending on their freshness.

Acai Palm

Acai is wild grown in tropical regions of Central and South America and the tree has small black-purple berries available the whole year round. These berries were once consumed only by some tribes of the Amazon Basin, but recent years have seen them become a global commodity- tasty and healthy.

They come with a different taste which can be described to be having a taste that is similar to blackberries as well as unsweetened chocolate.

Peach Palm

It is necessary to understand that the peach palm is not a palm tree that is associated with the peach fruit-bearing tree as its name implies. But it does bear fruit that is edible the fruit is as big as peaches and nearly the same color. The peach produces fruits in large clusters of medium sizes and orange-yellow color, oval-shaped with a yellow pulp that is sweet and somewhat similar to sweet potato.

Betel Nut Palm

The betel nut palm or areca palm are small about the size of dates and it is characterized by a dull ivory to yellowish hue. They are probably most famous for being covered in leaves and then mashed into one’s mouth to be used to stimulate the system. However, they can be eaten raw or cooked and have a mildly sweet taste.
